~hasnah~

One fine day, a friend asked me something.....
'If I promised you a certain thing, will you trust me?'

It made me thinking hard, for a couple minutes until she poked my shoulder.
'Hey... I am talking to you'
'I am still thinking'

Maybe my reflects reaction irritate her.
Yes, it supposed to be a rhetoric question with a simple yes or no answer.
I should answer YES because she is my friend and I suppose to say YES.

Instead, this is my answer to her
Promise can be made in 2 conditions

1. Actually you don't mean it, but you just want to get over the situation or you want immediate response from your friend. This is the promise you made but very hard to keep.

2. You really mean it. Which mean the promise will come from your heart.

For me, unspoken promise is stronger than any promises. These are the promises that you will always keep because you don't do anything to convince your friends, but when the time come, you deliver what you said. Example:

- If you are at the lowest point in your life, call me: promised to be there when there is problem
- Anytime, when you lost your way, call me: Promised to guide you when you lost
- I will kick you when you do something stupid again: promise to really kick you when you lost your reasons

But, when a friend promised to leave at least a quarter of coffee that she's been drinking, do not trust her. She really deserve a 'tunjal kat kepala' because normally she'll finished it all.
